The Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan #908 “On privatization for 2021 – 2025” dated December 29, 2020, is an update for the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2016-2020, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan #1141 “On privatization for 2016-2020” dated December 30, 2015, which contributes to the transformation of the economic strategy of Kazakhstan.
Following the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025, Baiterek National Managing Holding (hereinafter – the Holding) transferred the Investment Fund of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – the IFK) to the competitive environment by selling 100% of its shares. Since October 5, 2021, the IFK is no longer the Holding’s subsidiary. Following the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan #323 “On the Rules for the transfer of assets of national managing holdings, national holdings, national companies, their subsidiaries, and other legal entities affiliated with them to the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan” dated June 4, 2018, 10,602,471,183 tenge received after the transfer of the Holding's asset to the competitive environment were sent to the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 27, 2021.
