Kanat Sharlapayev visits facilities financed by Baiterek Holding

Two new manufacturing plants are being built in Saran, Karaganda Region. Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, visited the industrial site accompanied by Zhenis Kasymbek, Akim of Karaganda Region.

The tire plant may soon become one of the largest in Central Asia. At the first stage, it’s expected to produce 3.5 million tires annually. In the future, production will be increased to 9 million tires per year.

The construction was started in 2021 by KamaTyresKZ LLP, a joint venture of Allur Group JSC and Tatneft PJSC.

The plant is 65% ready. According to Project Manager Artyom Krymov, no risks have been identified during the construction. The construction is going according to schedule, sometimes even ahead of schedule.

– This year we started building production facilities. We have already built all foundations. They are 70% ready to be equipped, – said Artyom Krymov.

The plant is set to open at the end of this year. Over 1,000 jobs will be created. The plant's personnel is already undergoing training at the Tatneft tire plants.

– The tire manufacturing plant is a major project funded by the Industry Development Fund (a subsidiary of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, which is a part of Baiterek Holding). It will create new jobs and contribute to the development of the country’s industrial sector, – stated Kanat Sharlapayev.

The head of Baiterek Holding also visited the bus plant where a team of 400 specialists created a chain of production in just two years. Now they’re mastering the production of two new bus models – a low-floor city bus and a 10-meter one. The specialists also plan to restore workshops for the production of auto components.

Kanat Sharlapayev noted the great industrial potential of Saran, which will allow its population to have stable jobs and income.
