The first representative office of “EIC “KazakhExport” JSC was opened in Kazan

“NMH “Baiterek” JSC, Kazan, October 24. On the eve of the 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, the first foreign representative office of “Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” JSC (a subsidiary of “Baiterek” Holding), was officially opened in Kazan.

Opening of the representative office was held with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan” A.S. Nikolayev, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Kazan E.V. Tukumov and representatives of the business community of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Recently, Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev made a working visit to Kazan, where he told about the need to increase the trade turnover between our countries from 700 million to 1 billion USD. “Opening the first foreign representative office in the Russian Federation, we intend to stimulate mutual trade, provide insurance support to exporters who are ready to develop new markets. The purpose of our company is the development of goods export of the manufacturing sectors of the economy, as well as works and services. The amount of insurance support provided by “KazakhExport” to Kazakhstan exporters amounted to more than 100 million USD in the first 9 months of this year” - said Ruslan Iskakov, Chairman of the Management Board of “EIC “KazakhExport” JSC at the opening ceremony.

He noted that the partnership in the field will allow establishing of operational cooperation with entrepreneurs and banks, as well as to explore the potential sales markets from the inside for Kazakhstan products.

The activity of the representative office will extend not only to Tatarstan, but also cover the neighboring regions: Nizhny Novgorod region, Bashkortostan, Orenburg region, Orsk, Samara, Saratov and others.

Today, medicines, tea, foodstuffs, medical equipment, transformer and cable equipment, article of manufacture are supplied to the Russian market from Kazakhstan. According to experts, Kazakhstan's machine engineering, agriculture, chemistry and food industry has a large export potential.
