The “Baiterek” Holding, Darmen Sadvakasov chess academy and the “Bolashak” Association announce the holding of an online rapid chess tournament - the Cup of international grandmaster Darmen Sadvakasov.
The main goal of the event is to support talented Kazakhstani children and juniors who need high-quality tournament practice during the period of international quarantine and closed borders.
The competition is held among boys and girls in three age groups: 2002-2005, 2006-2009, and 2010 and younger. The prize fund will be 2.6 million tenge.
The tournament will be held on August 28-30, 2020 on the gaming platform lichess.org. Format - 9 rounds according to the Swiss system, time control - 15 minutes + 10 seconds per move for each participant until the end of the game.
The registration deadline is no later than August 24, 2020 until 18: 00 Nur-Sultan time. Applications are accepted by email dscup2020@gmail.com along with a copy of your identity document and your mobile phone number.
