Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov visits investment projects in Kostanay region

During a working trip to the Kostanay region, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov toured several investment projects backed by subsidiaries of Baiterek Holding.

Among these projects, the Prime Minister inspected the progress of endeavors within the industrial zone of Kostanay, financed by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan and the Industrial Development Fund. These include the construction of a Kia automobile plant capable of producing up to 70 thousand cars annually, along with two projects by KamLitKZ LLP – a foundry for iron production and a plant manufacturing drive axle gears for trucks. Collectively, these initiatives are set to create over two thousand permanent job opportunities.

– The establishment of these new production facilities will significantly bolster output within the automotive sector, now emerging as a strategically vital component of our economy. We remain committed to fostering its dynamic growth to enhance the nation's economic resilience, – emphasized the Prime Minister.

Additionally, the delegation visited SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, a plant fabricating components for various brands including JAC, Ankai, Yutong, Peugeot, Hyundai, Ravon, Niva Chevrolet, UAZ, and MAN.

– The Kostanay region stands at the forefront of the country's engineering industry. Witnessing the achievements of existing facilities and the immense potential of new ventures in this region, we pledge continued support for initiatives fostering manufacturing industry development, – stated Nurlan Baibazarov, head of Baiterek Holding. 

The itinerary also encompassed a tour of AgromashHolding KZ's localization center, which assembles agricultural machinery such as combine harvesters, tractors, and seeders, alongside component and spare parts production.

Products from these factories and equipment primarily serve domestic demand and are also exported to international markets. KazakhExport, another subsidiary of the Holding, further aids manufacturers in dealing with foreign importers through additional support mechanisms.
