Baiterek Holding and Its Subsidiaries Are Expanding Cooperation in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan

The Chairman of the Board of “Baiterek” National Managing Holding” JSC, Aidar Arifkhanov, has visited Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on July 11-12 as a part of the government delegation headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin.

A series of documents has been signed by the Holding’s subsidiaries within the official visits. Thus, “KazakhExport” EIC” JSC signed agreements with Tajik colleagues in Dushanbe.

The point at issue was that "Tajikselkhozleasing" state-owned enterprise will purchase 140 ESSIL combine harvesters assembled in Kazakhstan and other agricultural equipment from Agromashholding JSC under the support of KazakhExport.

Meanwhile, the Eurasian Development Bank and Rokhi Okhani Tochikiston state-owned company (Tajik Railways) agreed to implement a joint project for the purchase of railway engineering products under the insurance support from KazakhExport. The Tajik party has expressed interest in acquiring the maneuverable and main-line locomotives from Lokomotiv Qurastyru Zauyty JSC, freight cars and gondola cars produced by Kazakhstan Railcar Construction Company LLP, as well as railroad rails manufactured by Aktobe Rail and Beam Plant LLP.

In addition, Dusti 2017 LLC and KazakhExport have signed the Agreement aimed at shipping 30 thousand tons of reinforcement metal produced by ArcelorMittal Temirtau for the construction of Rogun Hydropower Station on Vakhsh River.

In addition, KazakhExport JSC has signed the Cooperation Agreement with AAEngineering Group LLP and Global Zhamgyr Mining LLC (a gold mining company that develops Zhamgyr Mine in Chatkal District) at the meeting of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council in Bishkek.

Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC also signed the Memorandum with the Guarantee Fund OJSC established to facilitate lending to small and medium-sized businesses.

- We are planning to expand the list of measures to support entrepreneurs of both countries through joint programs and projects with Guarantee Fund OJSC which will be aimed at supporting micro, small and medium businesses, - said Gaukhar Buribayeva, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Damu Fund.

According to the official data, the commodities turnover between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in January-April 2019 amounted to 250.1 million USD, including 184 million USD in exports and 66.2 million USD in imports.

In its turn, the commodities turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for the period under review amounted to 250.4 million USD, including 169.9 million USD in exports and 80.5 million USD in imports.
