Baiterek Holding negotiates with Abu Dhabi Investment Authority

Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, met with Hamad Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s Private Assets Department. The meeting was held during the visit of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the UAE. The meeting’s main topic was the cooperation between the two companies, including the implementation of joint investment projects.

During the meeting, Kanat Sharlapayev spoke about the economic and investment potential of Baiterek Holding. The parties also discussed creating a joint direct investment fund, which would increase cross-country investment flows.

Kanat Sharlapayev thanked Mr. Al Dhaheri for his interest in collaborating with Baiterek Holding. He also noted the importance of developing trade, economic and investment partnership between the UAE and Kazakhstan.

Baiterek Holding and its subsidiaries have extensive experience in working with UAE-based public and private companies. For example, the Qazaqstan Investment Corporation cooperates with Mubadala Investment Company through their joint funds – Falah Growth Fund and Kazakhstan Infrastructure Fund C.V. The Qazaqstan Investment Corporation is also establishing contact with the Abu Dhabi Developmental Company (ADQ). In addition, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan and KazakhExport ESC are considering several projects co-financed by the UAE companies.

It is worth noting that the parties expect the cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UAE to greatly contribute to the economies of the two countries.
