- Who We Are
Rustam Karagoishin, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek National Management Holding, recently met with Borislav Ivanov-Blankenburg, CEO for Central and Eastern Europe at Deutsche Bank, to discuss expanded cooperation and shared strategic goals for 2025. The leaders focused on areas of mutual interest, including sustainable development, adherence to ESG standards, and enhancing investment opportunities in Kazakhstan.
"We greatly value Deutsche Bank's role in Kazakhstan's economic growth and are keen to deepen our partnership," said Karagoishin. "Baiterek Holding is committed to attracting investments in critical areas such as infrastructure, industry, agriculture, and green energy. We believe that our collaboration with Deutsche Bank will significantly contribute to sustainable growth and an environmentally secure future for Kazakhstan."
The discussions emphasized green initiatives and environmental responsibility. Baiterek Holding supports renewable energy projects, with efforts like green bond issuance and leasing programs for electric buses. In 2024, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan issued sustainable Eurobonds in international markets, marking a milestone for ESG investments and increasing Kazakhstan's global visibility.
As a long-standing partner, Deutsche Bank helps Baiterek Holding execute major infrastructure projects. During the meeting, both parties explored financing options, including syndicated loans and other financial agreements.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation and develop new investment avenues. Baiterek Holding representatives are also set to attend the upcoming Kazakh-German Business Council in Berlin to discuss promising joint initiatives.
