On December 1, 2023, Nurbolat Aidapkelov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, convened a meeting with representatives from the CT AGRO company, manufacturer of CLAAS agricultural machinery. The focus of the discussion centered on key developmental areas within Kazakhstan's agricultural sector.
The meeting focused on the potential growth of CLAAS agricultural machinery production within Kazakhstan. Notably, emphasis was placed on tools to support subsidiaries of the holding, including KazAgroFinance, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, and the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
Participants in the meeting included Joerg Voschepoth, CEO of CT AGRO GmbH; Nils Reutsch, CLAAS Regional Director for Eastern Europe; Aidar Prashev, Chairman of the Board of KazAgroFinance; and other key figures.
CT ASSEMBLY LLP, located in Petropavlovsk, manufactures high-performance agricultural machinery under the CLAAS brand. The company produces state-of-the-art CLAAS tractors, combine harvesters, and grain headers, along with HORSCH wide-cut sowing complexes.
The agricultural machinery from CT ASSEMBLY LLP is witnessing an increasing demand among Kazakhstani agricultural producers. In 2022, KazAgroFinance facilitated the lease purchase of 112 units of agricultural machinery from CT ASSEMBLY LLP, totaling 14.4 billion tenge. In 2023, the leasing of 130 units of agricultural machinery for 19.6 billion tenge has already been accomplished. Furthermore, through the Industrial Development Fund, 86 units of agricultural machinery produced by CT ASSEMBLY LLP, amounting to 4.7 billion tenge, were also leased.
In the aggregate, between 2021 and 2023, with the financial backing of KazAgroFinance and the Industrial Development Fund through CT AGRO and CT ASSEMBLY LLP, domestic farmers acquired 1011 units of agricultural machinery, valued at 83.8 billion tenge.
