On October 8, Managing Director of Baiterek Holding Murat Daribayev, together with the management of individual subsidiaries of the Holding, held a meeting with Aidan Tynan, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatari company Baladna Food Industries.
Baladna Food Industries is a dairy farm that produces fresh natural milk and dairy products. The company covers up to 95% of the needs of the Qatari market for these products.
- Taking into account the hot climate of Qatar and high humidity, the average milk yield per cow is 38 liters per day, while in large Kazakhstani enterprises in Kazakhstan this figure averages 25 liters. We intend to expand and we need internationalization, - said Aidan Tynan at the meeting.
Qatari investors express their desire to implement such a vertically integrated project abroad. Malaysia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are currently under consideration. These days, the Qatari company is negotiating with two agricultural holdings of the country in the Kostanay and Almaty regions.
In turn, Murat Daribayev noted that the Baiterek holding provides support to foreign projects implemented jointly with Kazakhstani companies. Such large enterprises may be of interest to the subsidiaries of the Holding - Agrarian Credit Corporation, Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Kazyna Capital Management.
“At the same time, our country has not only a favorable geographic climate for your project, but also an investment one. The state provides support to foreign companies wishing to invest in the economy of Kazakhstan. In turn, the Baiterek holding is interested in attracting foreign investments, especially in the country's agro-industrial complex. Our subsidiaries are ready, within the framework of the existing financial support instruments, to assist in the implementation of projects of foreign investors, - said Murat Daribayev.
The parties agreed to explore options for cooperation and the possibility of implementing the proposed investment project.
