- Who We Are
The Chairman of the Board of “Baiterek” National Managing Holding” JSC, Aidar Arifkhanov, has visited the exhibition of the Kazakhstani manufacturers, “ULTTYQ O`NIM”, which is held in the capital's Independence Palace.
Kazakhstani companies from all the regions of Kazakhstan are annually brought together at the exhibition in order to introduce more and more people to their products and services. This year, more than 500 Kazakhstani enterprises which have received state support through the programs of Baiterek Holding and Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC participate in it.
As it was noted by the Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar at the opening ceremony, Nursultan Nazarbayev has set a strategic task to increase the share of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the economy to 35% of GDP by 2030, and to reach 50% by 2050.
“We are confident that our potential will allow us completing this challenge. Following the end of 2018, the share of SMEs in the country's GDP amounted to over 28% and the total output was 26.5 trillion tenge. 1.2 million of operating small and medium-sized businesses employ over 3.2 million people, which is about 37% of the country’s employed population. This was facilitated by the implementation of the “Business Roadmap 2020” State Program as the most effective tool for supporting SMEs,” - the Minister stressed out.
As a part of all the support measures, including the “Business Roadmap 2020” program, in 2018 alone, Damu Fund has supported 22.4 thousand enterprises for a total amount of loans of 495 billion tenge.
“We expect that the exhibition of ULTTYQ O`NIM will have a positive multiplier effect and will give a new impetus to the further development of SMEs as the main driver of development and platform of the “economy of simple things”, which will ensure demand not only in the domestic market, but also supply products to export,” - he said.
The history of "ULTTYQ O`NIM" exhibition was started in 2015 in Almaty. Back then “Damu” Fund has bought together 80 domestic companies for the first time. It can be said with confidence that over the years the exhibition has gained fame among our compatriots.
This year, the exhibition presents a wide range of goods, ranging from food to construction materials. Various events are held for the participants, such as tasting products of Kazakhstani producers, showing collections of Kazakhstani designers and workshops by the leading coaches. The exhibition runs up to May 6. Admission is free.
