“Baiterek” Holding together with the UN Kazakhstan holds a panel session at the AEF 2018 site on the subject of "Transformation of our world, the role of business inthe global agenda achieving"

At the Astana Economic Forum session, on 18 May 2018, the United Nations in Kazakhstan jointly with the National Managing Holding “Baiterek” holds a panel session «The Role of the Business Sector in the SDGs implementation».

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDGs, agreed by all UN member states, provide a truly global platform for all - businesses, civil society, governments and communities - to cooperate around these shared values for the common future. According to the Business and Sustainable Development Commission’s landmark report, achieving the SDGs could generate at least USD 12 trillion of market opportunities and create 380 million new jobs by 2020 in the four economic systems: food and agriculture, cities, energy and materials, health, and well-being. How will cooperation be realized? What is the role of business in achieving the SDG and what will it benefit from?

As speakers were invited the representatives of international organizations, financial institutions and Kazakh business representatives.
