Aidar Arifkhanov, the Chairman of the Board of “Baiterek” National Managing Holding” JSC, has hosted a series of meetings with the top management of the Russian development institutions within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held from June 6 to 8 this year.
Thus, bilateral negotiations were held with the Chairman of the Board of the Subsidiary Bank of “Sberbank of Russia” JSC, Alexandr Kamalov, the Vice President of the “Russian Export Center” JSC and the Director General of “ESCAR” JSC, Nikita Gusakov, and the Deputy Chairman of “VEB.RF”, Daniil Algulyan .
At the meeting with the Russian colleagues, Aidar Arifkhanov spoke about the activities of Baiterek Holding, a key financial operator of the Government of Kazakhstan, which manages 11 state development institutions, financial organizations and national companies.
- We believe that the meetings at the SPIEF-2019 platform will allow Baiterek Holding collaborating actively with the leading Russian development institutions and private investment companies to attract debt and equity capital in order to support industrial and infrastructure projects of bilateral importance. On its part, the Holding is ready to cooperate both at the level of subsidiaries and attract private Kazakhstani companies interested in developing their businesses in Russia, - the Head of the Holding noted.
It should be recalled that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has been held since 1997, and since 2006 it has been held under the patronage and involving participation of the President of the Russian Federation. This year the Forum was held on the topic of “Forming the Sustainable Development Agenda”. A record number of guests took part in it: 19 thousand people from 145 countries of the world. A record number of deeds was also signed: 650 agreements worth 3.1 trillion rubles.
It should be noted that representatives of Baiterek Holding have participated in the SPIEF as a part of the Kazakhstan delegation headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov.
