On May 10-11, Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, visited Ankara as a member of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s delegation.
During the Kazakh-Turkish round table, the President stated that Kazakhstan had developed favorable institutional environment for investors. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also expressed his willingness to provide support to priority investment projects.
Kazakhstan’s delegation has attended a presentation of large projects implemented by Turkish businessmen in Kazakhstan.
Kanat Sharlapayev has also taken part in bilateral meetings with Yildirim Group, Sembol, and TAV Holding.
A meeting with KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt
In addition, Kanat Sharlapayev has attended the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund (a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding) and the Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB), the largest state organization in Turkey that finances small and medium-sized businesses.
- Baiterek Holding and its subsidiaries are determined to cooperate with Turkish investors to implement joint projects in non-primary sectors of the economy, - stated the head of the Holding.
The memorandum was signed by Gaukhar Buribayeva, Chairman of the Board of the Damu Fund, and Mr. Hassan Basri Kurt, President of KOSGEB.
The memorandum focuses on the exchange of experience in providing support to micro-, small and medium-sized businesses, holding B2B events in Turkey for Kazakhstan’s entrepreneurs, and organizing internships to study successful practices in supporting entrepreneurs.
- Institutional relationship between the Damu Fund and KOSGEB was established back in 2011. Since then, we have been actively cooperating with our Turkish partners. For example, on May 20-22 of this year, KOSGEB will take part in the Ulttyq Onim Annual Exhibition in Nur-Sultan. The memorandum calls for interaction between our organizations, thereby increasing the efficiency of state support for entrepreneurship, - said Gaukhar Buribaeva.
During the meetings with Turkish colleagues, the parties also discussed further strategic cooperation in the field of investment development and business support.
