Baiterek Holding hosts chess tournament

A rapid chess tournament has been held among the employees of Baiterek Holding and its subsidiaries. The competition was organized by the Holding and the Kazakhstan Chess Federation in order to promote this game.

– This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills. I am sure that the tournament will become a part of the corporate culture of Baiterek Holding and help unite our team, – said Ruslan Iskakov, the first Vice-President of Kazakhstan Chess Federation and Chairman of the Board of ESC KazakhExport.

Ten chess players made it to the final of the tournament. After a three-hour competition, the winners were determined. They were congratulated by the Head of the Holding's Administration Dina Akrachkova.

– This tournament, which is being held for the third time, proves the fact that our Holding pays special attention to chess. We’re glad to see the tournament developing successfully, attracting more and more participants every year. This year, employees of agricultural companies are participating, – said Dina Akrachkova.

The first prize was won by Kuat Shomanov, Chief Manager of the Accounting Department of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. The second-place winner is Renat Medybaev, the Chief Crediting Specialist of the Agrarian Credit Corporation in the Kostanay Region. The third place was taken by Yerkanat Musabayev, Specialist of the central branch of Otbasy Bank in Nur-Sultan. A consolation prize was awarded to Zhanna Karabaeva, Chief Specialist of the Analysis and Strategy Department of Kazakhstan Housing Company.
