‘Baiterek’ Holding and its subsidiaries recognized as leaders in the ESG and corporate reporting market

At the annual awards ceremony for members of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and listed companies that have made a significant contribution to the development of the stock market, ‘Baiterek’ National Management Holding JSC was honored with awards in the categories of "ESG Bonds Market Leader" and "For Issuing Activity".

Recognition by the professional community confirms the holding's active participation in the market, its stable position, successful strategy, and high level of trust from institutional investors and partners.

"The development of the ESG market in Kazakhstan is a strategically important area, and we are pleased that ‘Baiterek’ Holding is making a significant contribution to it. The placement of debut ESG bonds allowed us to support farmers and provide financing for sustainable projects in the agricultural sector. ‘Baiterek’ Holding's debut ESG bonds were successfully placed in 2024, aiming to provide preferential lending to farmers under the "Ken Dala 2" program. As a result, approximately 1.1 thousand agricultural producers received financing, ensuring the cultivation of over 2.5 million hectares of farmland.

The holding’s subsidiary organizations also received prestigious KASE awards:

• Otbasy Bank JSC was recognized as the leader in the ESG bond market. Additionally, the bank received a KASE diploma for "Best Annual Report in the Financial Sector," confirming its high standards of corporate reporting.
• ‘Damu’ Fund won an award in the "Sustainability Report for 2023 in the Financial Sector" category. This recognition highlights the fund’s achievements in integrating sustainable development principles and enhancing its strategic vision.
• Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC was awarded the diploma "Leader of the Bond Market – 2024," reaffirming its key role in developing the debt market and attracting investment for large infrastructure and industrial projects. Additionally, the bank received an award for "Best Annual Report in the Financial Sector for 2023," further confirming its commitment to high corporate reporting standards.
