A seminar on promoting anti-corruption compliance was held at the "Baiterek" holding

The Anti-Corruption Agency and the Academy of Public Administration held a training seminar on promoting anti-corruption compliance at Baiterek NMH JSC. The top management of the Holding and subsidiaries took part in the seminar.

It should be noted that the obligation to introduce anti-corruption compliance in national companies from the end of last year was introduced at the legislative level and provides for monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation.

During the meeting, Deputy Director of the Agency's Integrity Department, Nursultan Bekinov, noted that the country has created a legislative framework for the implementation of compliance services, developed guidelines for their development. Thus, N. Bekinov urged to strengthen the work on anti-corruption compliance in the group of companies of the Holding, including the continuous improvement of the qualifications of personnel.

Note that the compliance service of Baiterek NMH JSC was created in 2017 and is part of the corporate governance system and is responsible for managing compliance risk. The Compliance Service counteracts corruption, prevents conflicts of interest, considers applications from individuals and legal entities on the facts of violations of the requirements of the Code of Business Ethics, corruption and other illegal actions.

In general, the Baiterek holding, being the main financial agent of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is actively working to combat corruption. To this end, the Holding has adopted an Anti-Corruption Policy, which includes a set of measures to combat corruption, as well as the formation of an anti-corruption culture of employees, ensuring compliance with the principles of honesty and transparency in the performance of labor duties.

At the end of the event, the representatives of the Agency and the Academy gave comprehensive answers to the questions raised by the meeting participants.
