Education: Mr. Witt holds a BBA (with honors) in Public Administration and an MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University (WMU). In 2021, Mr. Witt received the WMU Distinguished Alumnus Award, the university's highest honor for graduates who have excelled in their careers.
Professional experience:
Daniel A. Witt has worked for over 30 years to promote free markets and reduce barriers to taxation, trade and investment in transitional economies. Working with 85 countries, he has co-developed a unique neutral platform to bring together the public sector, private sector, and academics to advance economic policy reforms to encourage investment. As one of the first foreigners to discuss international taxation and investment issues with the Russian Federation (1991), the Republic of Kazakhstan (1993), Vietnam (1996), Iraq (2004), Libya (2006) and Myanmar (2012), Mr. Witt is a recognized expert on the newly opened border markets.
Mr. Witt is the president of the International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), founded in September 1993 under his leadership. ITIC is a global brand trusted as a reliable source of knowledge in tax and investment policy and administration.
By the decision of the Sole Shareholder, pursuant to Order No. 309 of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 2025, a member of the Board of Directors of Baiterek National Investment Holding was elected.
He does not own any shares in the Holding or shares and participatory interests in legal entities that are suppliers and competitors of the Holding.
