The head of state received the head of the Baiterek holding Rustam Karagoishin

The President was acquainted with the results of the holding’s work for 2023 and plans for the implementation of strategic areas of activity for the current year.

As Rustam Karagoishin reported, the holding’s total contribution to business support amounted to about 2.5 trillion tenge. In the future, in order to ensure high-quality and sustainable economic development, Baiterek intends to focus its efforts on comprehensive financing of growth areas with priority in agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, transport and logistics, as well as housing construction.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about plans to provide measures aimed at supporting and developing competitive entrepreneurs. An important goal is to expand financing for small, medium and large business projects in all regions of Kazakhstan. In terms of SMEs, active support is expected for entrepreneurs in small and single-industry towns, as well as in rural areas.

The head of state emphasized the importance of intensifying work in these areas and noted that the systematic implementation of the assigned tasks will allow achieving significant results in strengthening the economy and improving the well-being of the citizens of Kazakhstan.
