On February 16, 2022, Ruslan Iskakov was appointed Chairman of the Board and a member of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan by the decision of the Sole Shareholder represented by Baiterek National Managing Holding. Previously, he headed another Holding’s subsidiary – “KazakhExport” Export Insurance Company.
Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek Holding, introduced the new Chairman of the Board to employees.
– Ruslan Iskakov has more than 18 years of experience in financial institutions. He successfully headed KazakhExport for six years and today he was appointed head of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. This is the principle of meritocracy in action: a person who successfully worked in the banking and in our Holding has now reached one of the highest positions. I expect all of you to support him and work successfully in cooperation, – said Kanat Sharlapayev.
Ruslan Iskakov was born in 1980. In 2003, he graduated from the Semipalatinsk State University named after Shakarim qualified as economist-manager.
From 2004 to 2006, he worked in the Risk Management Department of Kazkommertsbank.
From 2006 to 2008, he led the Project Risk Analysis Office of the Risk Management Department of Kazkommertsbank.
From 2010 to 2011, Ruslan Iskakov served as a Director of the Corporate Clients Department at Sberbank of Russia.
From 2011 to 2014, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Major Clients Department at Sberbank of Russia.
From 2014 to 2015, Ruslan Iskakov served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the “KazExportGarant” Export Credit Insurance Corporation.
Starting from February 2016, he held the position of Chairman of the Board and a member of the Board of Directors of KazakhExport EIC JSC.
He also holds unpaid positions, being a member of the Board of Directors of QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center JSC, a member of the Board of Directors of Baiterek Venture Fund JSC and First Vice President of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.
On February 2022, Rauan Zhaksybayev was appointed Chairman of the Board of “KazakhExport” Export Insurance Company.
