Kanat Sharlapayev meets with President
Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek National Managing Holding, had a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He presented a comprehensive report on the Holding's activities in 2022 and shared the Holding's plans for the upcoming year. The President was presented with several promising proposals aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, boosting the agro-industrial sector, and ensuring that people have access to adequate housing.
President Tokayev was apprised of the remarkable financial performance of Baiterek National Managing Holding in 2022. The Holding achieved a net profit of 350 billion tenge, setting a record and surpassing the results of both 2020 and 2021 by five and three times respectively.
In 2022, Baiterek Holding's subsidiaries made a significant impact on the economy by financing 238 large-scale projects and leasing transactions worth 685 billion tenge. The Holding also demonstrated its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized businesses by subsidizing 50.5 thousand projects to the tune of 1.5 trillion tenge.
The Holding also allocated 522 billion tenge to finance agribusiness, surpassing the planned amount of 432 billion tenge.
Kanat Sharlapayev informed President Tokayev that Baiterek Holding is taking proactive steps to ensure that people have access to adequate housing. To achieve this goal, the Holding issued preferential mortgage loans totaling 1.4 trillion tenge, provided guarantees for shared construction worth 211.8 billion tenge, and financed the construction of credit housing for 176.4 billion tenge. These efforts resulted in the commissioning of over 2.2 million square meters of housing and improved the living conditions of 79,865 families.
President Tokayev emphasized the significance of continued support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the crucial role that Baiterek Holding should play in boosting the country's export potential and developing the agro-industrial sector.
