Baiterek Holding increases financing for  agro-industrial complex by over 15%

Baiterek National Management Holding continues to support Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex. So far in 2024, total funding reached 640 billion tenge, reflecting a 15.4% increase compared to the total for 2023. This announcement was made by Almas Agibaev, Director of the Projects Department at Baiterek Holding, during the KAZAKH GRAIN & LOGISTIC FORUM 2024 held on December 5-6 in Astana.

According to Agibaev, 319.5 billion tenge was allocated for spring field and harvesting work under the Ken Dala-1 and Ken Dala-2 financing programs, marking a 128% rise from 2023. A new loan guarantee program for agricultural activities received 76.2 billion tenge. Additionally, preferential leasing of agricultural machinery surged to 120 billion tenge, a 2.6-fold increase compared to the previous year.

Looking ahead, Baiterek Holding plans to allocate up to 700 billion tenge for spring field and harvesting work in 2025. Applications opened in November 2024, with the first 100 billion tenge set to be disbursed in December. The holding also plans to allocate up to 200 billion tenge for preferential leasing of agricultural machinery next year.

Between 2020 and 2024, the holding successfully funded several strategic projects in storage, processing, and transportation of agricultural products. Notable initiatives include Smart Agro 2024 LLP's soybean cultivation and storage project in the Jetysu region (valued at 2.2 billion tenge), the modernization of Qazaq Astyq Group LLP's packaged vegetable oil production plant in the Abay region (16.5 billion tenge), the construction of a feed mill by Unicorn Feed Limited in the Akmola region (6.2 billion tenge), and the establishment of ALTAI MAI LLP's refined oils and fats production facility in the East Kazakhstan region (19 billion tenge).

For 2025-2026, the holding is evaluating promising initiatives, including the construction of two deep grain processing plants in Astana and the Kostanay region, as well as the development of export-oriented agro-industrial clusters.
