Kanysh Temirtayevich Izbastin was appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “Baiterek” National Managing Holding JSC. Previously, he headed KazAgroFinance JSC, which has recently become Baiterek Holding’s subsidiary.
Kanysh Izbastin will oversee the support and development of the agro-industrial complex.
Kanysh Izbastin, born in 1981, graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), and Central Asian University. He has received a PhD in Economics.
He worked in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan;
From April 2007 to April 2008, Kanysh Izbastin served as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of DBK-Leasing JSC;
From April 2008 to May 2012, he worked as the Chairman of the Management Board of DBK-Leasing JSC;
From May to November 2012 – Chairman of the Management Board of “KazExportGarant” Export Credit Insurance Corporation JSC;
From January 2013 to September 2015 – Managing Director of “Samruk Kazyna” National Welfare Fund JSC;
From September 3, 2015 to March 2021 – Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC.
As it was reported earlier, three subsidiaries of the former KazAgro Holding – Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, KazAgroFinance JSC, and the Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture JSC – have merged into Baiterek Holding. In addition, a new Department of Agricultural Assets Management has been created in Baiterek Holding without increasing the number of employees.
