On 10 December, Baiterek National Managing Holding held a meeting between the Chairman of the Management Board of the Holding, Rustam Karagoishin, and a delegation of Solico Group (Islamic Republic of Iran), led by Alireza Mohammad Rahimi, General Director of Solico Group for CIS countries. The meeting was also attended by Zhandos Shaikhy, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Holding, and Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC.
During the discussion, Solico Group presented a project for the construction of a cheese production facility in Almaty Region with a capacity of up to 100 tons per day. The project envisions the creation of 460 jobs and the production of competitive goods for both the domestic market and export to Central Asian and Middle Eastern countries.
Financing of the project will be considered with the participation of the Holding’s subsidiary, Development Bank of Kazakhstan, which has extensive experience in structuring and supporting large industrial initiatives.
Chairman of the Management Board of the Holding, Rustam Karagoishin, emphasized the importance of engaging international partners in the development of the food industry and enhancing the export orientation of the national economy.
“The Holding pays special attention to projects that create added value and strengthen export potential, particularly in the agro-industrial sector. It is crucial that each initiative meets technological requirements and ensures long-term economic impact. At the next stage, a detailed elaboration of the project parameters will be carried out jointly with the investor,” he noted.
Following the negotiations, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation aimed at developing the processing industry and expanding production capacity in Kazakhstan’s food sector.
