- Who We Are
The first Central Eurasia@Silicon Valley technology conference took place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. It drew industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to strengthen collaboration between Central Eurasia and Silicon Valley.
Organized by the Silk Road Innovation Hub with support from the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in San Francisco, the event underscored Central Eurasia's growing role in the global tech ecosystem.
Usen Galym, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, participated in a panel discussion featuring experts from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the United States. The panel discussed AI’s role in fostering economic transformation and sustainable development across emerging markets. Participants also noted AI's role in boosting productivity and creating new opportunities for global technology collaboration.
Usen Galym highlighted Baiterek Holding's commitment to using AI to expand access to state financing for entrepreneurs and foster venture capital growth in Kazakhstan.
"Initiatives like this are vital to building a regional startup ecosystem, attracting international investors, and showcasing Central Asia's potential on the global stage," Galym noted.
The conference was hosted at the iconic Yerba Buena Center where Steve Jobs once unveiled Apple products. It gathered over 1,300 participants, including over 100 startups and 130 investors. The program featured plenary sessions, a startup exhibition, the Unicorn Cup competition, and discussions on critical IT, AI, and venture financing topics.
