The pilot project on the use of digital tenge in the agro-industrial complex has been successfully completed

JSC National Managing Holding Baiterek announces the completion of the next stage of the pilot project for the introduction of digital tenge in the agro-industrial complex. As part of the project, digital tenge was successfully converted and credited to a special account opened at a second-tier bank.

The pilot project was implemented by KazAgroFinance JSC, which is part of the Baiterek Holding group of companies. The primary goal of the project was to ensure transparency and control over the distribution and use of investment subsidies in agriculture.

"For the first time, we are witnessing how digital tenge is changing the approach to financing and monitoring the use of government funds. This is a key step toward improving the transparency of financial transactions and enhancing the effectiveness of government support for the agricultural sector," emphasized Niyaz Koshkimbayev, Managing Director of JSC NMH Baiterek.

He also noted that KazAgroFinance JSC holds a banking operations license, which enabled the successful completion of the digital currency conversion stage and the deposit of funds into the financial institution's account.

It is worth noting that, earlier, it was reported that as part of the pilot project, Astykzhan K T LLP (Akmola region) purchased agricultural machinery on preferential terms with an advance payment made using digital tenge. The financing rate was just 5%, significantly easing access for farmers to the necessary equipment.
