The largest exhibition of Kazakhstan-made products opened in Nur-Sultan

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubaev, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbaev, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altai Kulginov, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Presidium of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Raimbek Batalov, Chairman of the Board of the Damu Fund Gaukhar Buribayeva, deputies of Parliament, government officials, and businessmen.

The exhibition was organized by the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund (Baiterek Holding’s subsidiary). It showcases products of more than 350 micro-, small and medium-sized businesses. All of them were financed by the Damu Fund.

At the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov delivered the speech.

– The government makes every effort to support entrepreneurs. Over the past 5 years, the share of small and medium-sized businesses in GDP has increased from 27% to 35%, – said Alikhan Smailov.

Prime Minister also noted that the moratorium on inspections of small and microbusinesses had made doing business easier in Kazakhstan.

After the opening ceremony, visitors explored the exhibition.

During a press conference, Gaukhar Buribayeva spoke about state support measures for Kazakhstan-based entrepreneurs. Businessmen participating in the exhibition shared their success stories.

– This is the sixth annual exhibition. This time, we received a lot of applications and chose the largest companies that have potential in the domestic and foreign markets. We expect the Ulttyq Onim exhibition to help businesses grow. We hope their products will be in demand not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad, – said Gaukhar Buribayeva.

The exhibition will remain open for three days. Visitors will be able to buy Kazakhstan-made goods: food, mass consumption items, medicines, machinery, furniture, woodwork, jewelry, and others.

In addition, there will be a Khalyk Tandauy Competition, daily raffles, and a display of collections of women's and men's clothing from leading Kazakhstani manufacturers.

During the exhibition, Kazakhstani entrepreneurs will have a chance to connect with foreign investors face-to-face and take part in the Forum of Franchising Companies. During masterclasses, successful businessmen will share their knowledge and experience.

In 2021, the Damu Fund financed 57.4 thousand projects with 2.2 trillion tenge worth of loans. It is 74% more than in 2020. In 2022, the Damu Fund plans to subsidy and guarantee loans for about 42,000 projects.
