Representatives of 'Baiterek' Holding Familiarize Themselves with the Work of Almaty's Industrial Enterprises

As part of a working trip to the city of Almaty, Aidyn Akan, Managing Director of 'Baiterek' National Investment Holding JSC, together with Vladimir Li, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, and Azat Abaidildin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Industrial Development Fund JSC, visited a number of industrial enterprises implementing investment projects with the support of the Holding's development institutions.

During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the operations of the multi-brand automobile plant Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan, the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan enterprise, as well as the production facilities of VALTHERM, Orbis Manufacturing, and KZ Recycling.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan plant — one of the largest projects in the domestic automotive industry. Meeting participants toured the production lines and manufacturing processes and discussed the enterprise's prospects for further development.

The project to build the multi-brand plant for manufacturing Changan, Chery, and Haval vehicles was implemented with the support of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and Industrial Development Fund JSC. The production facility has a design capacity of up to 90,000 vehicles per year and provides employment for more than 2,200 people.

"Today, automotive manufacturing is one of the drivers of growth for Kazakhstan's manufacturing industry. The implementation of such large-scale projects contributes to job creation, the development of production cooperation, and an increase in the share of local content. For 'Baiterek' Holding, it is important not only to provide enterprises with accessible financial instruments, but also to support projects at every stage of their implementation, creating conditions for the sustainable growth of domestic production," said Managing Director Aidyn Akan.

During the visits, Holding representatives discussed current production indicators, capacity expansion plans, production localization issues, and the development of cooperation with domestic suppliers with the companies' management.

The working trip was part of the Holding's systematic efforts to monitor the implementation of investment projects and assess the effectiveness of the support measures provided. Visits to production facilities allow for building direct dialogue with businesses, promptly identifying the enterprises' current needs, and contributing to the further development of the country's industrial potential.
