On March 2, 2023, Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, held a meeting with top managers and heads of structural divisions of Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
During the meeting, Gaukhar Buribayeva, Chairman of the Board of the Damu Fund, reported on the Fund’s main achievements in the previous year. She stated that in 2022, the Fund supported more than 50.5 thousand projects of entrepreneurs throughout Kazakhstan, with the total amount of loans exceeding 1.5 trillion tenge. Nearly 70% of the loan amount was used for the development of new projects and modernizing existing industries in Kazakhstan.
Buribayeva also announced initiatives for 2023 aimed at simplifying the loan application process and automating the Fund's business processes. These initiatives include enabling people to apply for services from their phones and monitoring projects online.
Kanat Sharlapayev highly appreciated the results of the Damu Fund and supported the proposed initiatives. He instructed the Fund to continue working to support and develop entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.
