Participants of Baiterek Holding's Unified Talent Pool visited six enterprises in the Aktobe Region. They familiarized themselves with production processes and the results of projects implemented with the support of the Holding's group of companies.
On the first day, the participants visited the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant, where they were introduced to smelting technologies and the reuse of production resources.
At the Aktobe Rail and Structural Steel Works, they learned about the production of railway rails up to 120 metres long and the operations of the quality control laboratory. Both enterprises received support from the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
The next stop on the programme was Zerде-Keramika Aktobe LLP, which manufactures porcelain stoneware and ceramic tiles for the domestic market and export. The acquisition of equipment for the enterprise was financed by the Industrial Development Fund. The company currently receives support from the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
On the second day, the participants visited the oil extraction plant of AKMEZ LLP, established with the support of the Agrarian Credit Corporation. The enterprise processes sunflower and safflower seeds and produces vegetable oil and oilseed meal. Cooperation with the plant provides local farmers with a market for their agricultural raw materials.
At Ice-Plus, the participants learned about the production of ice cream and dairy products. The company is developing its own dairy cluster, combining a farm and processing facilities. The new ice cream production workshop was launched with the support of the Damu Fund under the Damu Ondiris programme.
The programme concluded with a visit to Samal Cakes LLP. With the support of the Damu Fund, the company is expanding its confectionery production, which has grown from a home-based business into a chain of confectionery shops operating in several cities across Kazakhstan.
The visits enabled the participants to study the practical application of financial instruments and gain a better understanding of the needs of enterprises. This experience helps future executives assess projects while taking into account the specific characteristics of production and their contribution to regional economies.
