The specialized exhibition "Kazakhstan Field Day Jańa Dala / Green Day 2026" — one of the country's largest industry events in crop and livestock farming — opened in the village of Nuresil, Tselinograd district, Akmola region. Baiterek Holding, together with its subsidiaries, is taking an active part in the exhibition.
The Holding implements a wide range of state support measures for the agro-industrial sector through its subsidiaries — Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC and KazAgroFinance JSC.
According to Niyaz Koshkimbayev, Managing Director of Baiterek Holding, agricultural financing has increased two to three times over the past three years.
"Last year, the state allocated 1.1 trillion tenge for the systematic development of the agro-industrial complex, and these funds were fully absorbed for their intended purpose. Maintaining this positive trend, this year we plan to allocate around 1.2 trillion tenge for comprehensive support of agriculture and improving its efficiency. We're confident these funds will also be used effectively and on time.
The Agrarian Credit Corporation is currently actively implementing a financing program for spring field and harvesting work, the most critical period for farmers. 750 billion tenge is allocated for this purpose through the end of the year, of which 650 billion tenge has already been disbursed to agricultural producers. As a result, more than 7,200 agricultural producers across the country, including small and medium-sized farms, have received state support.
In addition, we're paying close attention not only to crop farming but also to livestock development. This year, more than 200 billion tenge in budget funds is allocated to finance the Birlik, Igilik, and Zhailau programs, aimed at increasing livestock numbers, developing pedigree livestock breeding, and supporting rural entrepreneurship," he said.
According to him, the programs are only just beginning to be implemented. Financing can be obtained directly through the Agrarian Credit Corporation. Starting this year, they are also being implemented through social-entrepreneurial corporations, regional financial institutions, and second-tier banks.
Niyaz Koshkimbayev emphasized that Baiterek Holding is no longer just an administrator of state programs but is becoming an active driver of the country's economic development.
"Today Baiterek Holding is no longer limited to distributing state support measures — it's becoming an active driver of economic development. We no longer wait for ready-made projects; instead, we independently form an investment portfolio and search for promising partners," Koshkimbayev noted.
One key tool will be the new "Order for Investment" program, under which the state will identify priority areas and deficit types of products — including in the agro-industrial complex and household chemicals sector — offering investors ready-made business projects.
The Holding has now begun updating its long-term development strategy to reflect its strengthened investment role.
Makhanbet Turmakhanov, Director of the Astana branch of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, reported that 6.1 trillion tenge has been allocated to support the agro-industrial complex over the entire period of the corporation's operation.
"As a result, more than 190,000 agricultural enterprises have received state support. Projects financed by the corporation currently account for 66% of milk, 59% of poultry meat, 47% of pasta, 45% of vegetable oil, 33% of bread, and 28% of chicken egg production out of the total output of these socially important products in Kazakhstan.
Overall, this year the Agrarian Credit Corporation and KazAgroFinance JSC plan to allocate 1 trillion tenge for agricultural development," Turmakhanov noted.
According to him, a significant share of financing goes to the preferential agricultural equipment leasing program at 5%, which totaled 209.1 billion tenge. Under the program, farmers purchased 6,381 units of equipment.
"Over six months, 3,931 agricultural producers used the company's services, and the volume of applications received has already reached 311.5 billion tenge, indicating sustained high demand for renewing machinery and tractor fleets. Overall, this confirms that the Agrarian Credit Corporation is transforming from a classic lending operator into one of the key institutions for the structural modernization of the agro-industrial complex," he said.
Yerkebulan Zhumzhayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC, reported that more than 6,300 units of agricultural equipment worth a total of around 250 billion tenge were leased in the first half of 2026.
"Compared to the same period last year, this figure has doubled — financing volume was around 125 billion tenge back then. The most in-demand program is the 'Made in Kazakhstan' preferential leasing program, under which 210 billion tenge has been financed. As a result, more than 4,000 agricultural producers have received support," Zhumzhayev noted.
The Damu Fund provides additional financing opportunities for farmers. During the exhibition, Fund specialists are advising entrepreneurs on state guarantees, subsidies, and preferential financing.
By the end of the first half of 2026, the Fund had supported 3,600 projects with a total loan portfolio of 1.06 trillion tenge. In the agro-industrial sector, 1,649 projects worth a total of 240.6 billion tenge received support.
The exhibition's demonstration areas feature modern agricultural equipment, including tractors, seeding complexes, sprayers, and tillage equipment, with live demonstrations in field conditions. Visitors were also shown the capabilities of modern agricultural drones.
As part of the livestock program, exhibitions and competitions for pedigree cattle breeds — Angus, Auliekol, Hereford, Kazakh White-Headed, Kalmyk, and Aubrac — were organized. Following these events, open auctions for the sale of pedigree bulls were held.
