Holding “Baiterek” Reviews the Production Capabilities of the Railways Systems KZ Railway Cluster

JSC “National Managing Holding “Baiterek” and JSC “Industrial Development Fund” visited the production facilities of the Railways Systems KZ railway cluster in Ekibastuz, one of Kazakhstan’s largest integrated railway engineering hubs.



During the working visit, the participants reviewed the operations of the cluster’s enterprises, discussed current performance, prospects for further production development, and the implementation of investment projects aimed at increasing localization and advancing Kazakhstan’s domestic engineering industry.



Railways Systems KZ brings together enterprises that provide an almost complete production cycle for railway products, ranging from the manufacture of rail fastenings, reinforced concrete products, and railway switches to the production of rolled railway wheels, axles, wheelsets, as well as freight and passenger railcars. This integrated production cooperation creates a unified value chain and strengthens the country’s industrial capacity.



As part of the visit, the delegation toured the production facilities of “Prommashkomplekt”, RailCast Systems, R.W.S. Wheelset, “Prommash.KZ”, R.W.S. Concrete, and R.W.S. Binding. The management of the enterprises presented information on their existing production capacities, ongoing investment projects, and plans for further expansion.



Particular attention was given to the development of high-tech manufacturing, the introduction of advanced technologies, and increasing the share of domestic content in railway engineering. The production capacities of the enterprises enable the annual manufacture of hundreds of thousands of railway wheels, tens of thousands of axles and wheelsets, more than one million sets of rail fastenings, as well as a wide range of products for railway infrastructure.



Following the visit, the parties emphasized the importance of developing industrial clusters to strengthen Kazakhstan’s technological sovereignty, expand its export potential, and support the continued development of the country’s manufacturing industry.
