Today, a meeting was held at Baiterek National Investment Holding with representatives of a German delegation as part of efforts to develop Kazakh–German cooperation in the agricultural sector and agricultural finance.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Baiterek Holding, including Managing Director Niyaz Koshkimbaev; Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, Aydyn Doskaraev; Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC, Aidos Seitzhanov; Managing Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Damu JSC, Nurbol Zhanabekov; as well as Managing Director of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC, Eldar Kuanbayev.
The German delegation was represented by Rebecca Ridder, responsible officer of Division 624 “International Projects” of BMLEH, along with other representatives of organizations involved in the implementation of the Kazakh–German Agricultural Policy Dialogue.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of agricultural policy, sustainable agricultural development, and the introduction of modern financial and institutional instruments to support agribusiness.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to issues of agricultural finance, the development of support mechanisms for agricultural producers, the adoption of international approaches to the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex, as well as opportunities to expand expert and analytical cooperation. Representatives of Baiterek Holding informed the German side about the ongoing transformation of the Holding into an investment holding, the role of its subsidiaries in financing the agricultural sector, and the implementation of support programs for agricultural producers.
The parties also reviewed areas for further cooperation within the framework of the Kazakh–German Agricultural Policy Dialogue, including the exchange of expertise, joint analytical research, the organization of training and advisory activities with the involvement of German specialists, as well as participation in the development of strategic and program documents in the agricultural sector.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in continuing and deepening cooperation, emphasizing the importance of a systematic dialogue between financial institutions, government bodies, and the expert community for the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and for improving the effectiveness of agricultural policy.
