Baiterek Holding Reviews Q1 Results and Approves Amendments to Investment Policy

On May 21, the Strategic Planning Committee of the Board of Directors of Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC held a meeting. The agenda included a review of the Holding's key performance indicators for the first quarter of the current year, as well as the approval of amendments to its Investment Policy.

During the reporting period, the Holding’s subsidiaries provided financial support to small and medium-sized businesses in the amount of KZT 439 billion, which is 28% higher than the figure for the same period last year. Significant volumes of support were allocated to the development of export-oriented industries (KZT 255.5 billion), the agro-industrial complex (KZT 233.4 billion), and housing provision—more than 11.8 thousand families received housing loans and guarantees.

The Committee also approved amendments to the Holding’s Investment Policy. The updates aim to enhance transparency in project selection procedures, integrate environmental and social criteria, and improve the methodology for calculating the project development index.

The document has also been aligned with the Investment Policy Concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2029, including provisions on the classification of "green" projects and regulations for cooperation with domestic and foreign partners.

These decisions are intended to strengthen the Holding’s role as a key development institution that supports priority sectors and contributes to the sustainable growth of the national economy
