On June 11, the Kazakhstan Commodity Forum was held in Geneva, dedicated to Kazakhstan's role in global commodity and agricultural markets. Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC National Investment Holding Baiterek, attended the forum, presenting Kazakhstan's investment opportunities and the Holding's new operating model to the international investment community. The forum brought together representatives of leading global trading companies, financial institutions, and industry associations.
Speaking at the panel session "Investment, Shipping & Financing," Timur Onzhanov discussed the country's investment potential and noted that Baiterek Holding is a key financial institution in implementing Kazakhstan's investment policy.
Baiterek is a full-cycle investment institution that supports projects from industry analysis and portfolio formation to attracting a strategic foreign investor and supporting them at all stages of implementation," noted Timur Onzhanov.
The speaker also named the agro-industrial sector as a promising area for international investors, noting the Holding's initiative to create a specialized agricultural fund, Adal Fund L.P.
On the sidelines of the forum, Timur Onzhanov held bilateral meetings with the heads of international companies ADM, Trafigura, COFCO International, Gunvor, Harvest Group, Torq Commodities, NCH Capital and others, where they discussed prospects for cooperation and investment opportunities in Kazakhstan.
As part of his visit, Timur Onzhanov also participated in the international SuperReturn conference in Berlin, which took place from June 9th to 10th and is one of the world's largest venues for private equity and venture capital investments. On the sidelines of the conference, meetings were held with representatives of sovereign wealth funds and managing partners of private equity funds.
