Baiterek Holding participates in KGIR 2022

On October 19, 2022, Astana hosted the panel session of the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable-2022 where Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, acted as a moderator.

KGIR 2022 is one of Kazakhstan's main investment forums focusing on the cooperation between the government and the international business community.

The panel session was dedicated to the topic "Food and Prosperity: Investing in the Future of the Agro-Industrial Complex". Participants have discussed global and regional problems of food security and how to increase investments in agriculture in Kazakhstan.

– To date, Baiterek Holding's subsidiaries have financed more than 87 thousand agricultural manufacturers in Kazakhstan. We have funded the production of sugar, poultry meat, semi-finished meat products, apples, fish, and dairy products. We also help entrepreneurs produce and process agricultural products in various sectors of the agro-industrial complex. Financing is provided through loans, leasing of agricultural machinery, guarantees for bank loans, subsidies, and insurance premiums. The average loan amount is $55.4 thousand, – said Kanat Sharlapayev.

Besides, Kanat Sharlapayev has met with Nabil Marc Abdul-Massih, CEO of the Swiss company Inoks Capital. They have discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation that was successfully started last year when KazAgroFinance and Inoks Capital financed SSA Fruits LLP.
