Baiterek Holding Participates in International Investment Dialogue in Bangkok

Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of National Investment Holding Baiterek, participated in events held as part of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Bangkok. The business programme brought together representatives of international financial institutions, banks, and investment companies to discuss economic prospects and opportunities for attracting capital.

During the visit, Timur Onzhanov took part in investment roundtables hosted by J.P. Morgan, Citi, and Jefferies. The agenda covered Kazakhstan's economic outlook, structural reforms, monetary policy, and financial sector development. These platforms provide an opportunity for direct dialogue with international investors exploring opportunities in emerging markets.

The Deputy Chairman of the Holding also participated in meetings with representatives of investment bank J.P. Morgan, asset management company BlackRock, banks BBVA and Citi, and international credit rating agencies Fitch Ratings, Moody's, and S&P Global Ratings.

Particular attention was given to the World Bank's flagship session on unlocking investment opportunities in emerging markets and creating jobs, as well as the Feeding Asia session dedicated to investment in Asia's food sector. For the Holding, these priorities are directly linked to attracting long-term capital to key sectors, including the agro-industrial complex and agricultural processing.

Timur Onzhanov also attended a meeting of the Swiss Group of Countries and the International Monetary Fund. Issues related to cross-border capital flows, trade, and regional cooperation were discussed at events hosted by Standard Chartered, the Eurasian Development Bank, and a session examining the role of Central Asia and the Middle East in the G20 agenda.

Participation in international financial dialogue enables the Holding to expand its network of potential partners and explore approaches to attracting investment. For Kazakhstan, the development of such cooperation creates opportunities to finance new production facilities, infrastructure, and export-oriented projects.
