Baiterek Holding Hosts Meeting with Representatives of German Agribusiness and Engineering Sectors

On May 22, a meeting was held at Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC with representatives of the German Agribusiness Alliance (GAA) and the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA e.V.). The delegation was headed by Dr. Peer Brodersen, Managing Director of the GAA. Other participants included Dirk Stratzmann, GAA’s representative for Central Asia, and Thomas Wallenborn, VDMA’s specialist for CIS countries.

On the side of the Holding, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Timur Onzhanov, Managing Director Niyaz Koshkimbaev, and Director of the Department for Agricultural and Housing Programs Ruslan Tulegenov.

The meeting continued the cooperation established within the framework of the Kazakhstan-German Business Council and focused on expanding partnerships in the agro-industrial and engineering sectors. The German side presented the activities of the GAA and VDMA and discussed opportunities for technological cooperation, investment initiatives, and support for sustainable agricultural development.

In turn, the Holding’s representatives presented the key support measures being implemented in the agro-industrial complex and expressed interest in expanding Kazakhstan-Germany cooperation through joint projects—particularly in the modernization of agriculture and mechanical engineering.

The meeting marked another step toward deepening practical collaboration between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Germany, aimed at modernizing the agricultural sector and fostering industrial cooperation.
