Baiterek Holding expands procurement opportunities for domestic producers

National Investment Holding Baiterek JSC continues its systematic work to develop domestic value and expand the participation of Kazakhstani commodity producers (KCPs) in procurement within the Holding's group of companies.

As part of this work, the Holding has implemented mechanisms for interaction with KCPs at the procurement planning and execution stages. These new tools allow domestic producers to receive timely information about planned purchases by receiving notifications on the procurement web portal and to submit their proposals as part of ongoing price research for goods eligible for exemptions from the national regime.

Furthermore, an additional feature has been introduced allowing potential suppliers and KCPs to participate in preliminary discussions of draft technical specifications prior to their approval.

"Our goal is to involve Kazakhstani manufacturers in the procurement process from the planning stage. The mechanisms we've implemented allow domestic businesses to receive advance information about the needs of the Holding's group of companies, participate in discussions of technical specifications, and submit their proposals as part of price research. This helps us better take into account the capabilities of Kazakhstani manufacturers and increase the transparency of procurement procedures," noted Ryskhan Nugurbekov, Managing Director of the Holding.
