Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek Holding, Zhandos Shaikhy, held a meeting with representatives of leading industrial and agro-industrial companies from Ukraine.
The delegation included members of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine and representatives of more than ten major enterprises in mechanical engineering, agriculture, energy, and industrial equipment. These included manufacturers of grain storage and processing solutions, electrical equipment, hydraulics, as well as equipment for the mining and processing industries.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding investment and industrial cooperation, participation of Ukrainian companies in projects implemented in Kazakhstan using the Holding’s support instruments, as well as the localization of production.
Special attention was given to the opportunities provided by the Holding’s subsidiaries. In particular, mechanisms for financing, business support, and export development were reviewed, including through the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan, and other development institutions.
The discussion also covered regional cooperation, technology transfer, and the development of sustainable production value chains involving Kazakhstani and Ukrainian enterprises.
“Developing cooperation with Ukrainian companies opens up additional opportunities for industrial growth. We are interested in launching joint production facilities in Kazakhstan and are ready to support projects aimed at technology implementation and expanding the export potential of businesses,” said Zhandos Shaikhy during the meeting.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop specific initiatives and agreed to continue cooperation, including at the international exhibition Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026, which will be held in Astana on April 1–3.
