On July 2, in Astana, Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek National Investment Holding, met with a delegation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which included representatives from Mastercard, Pope Asset Management, Tethys Petroleum, Aretera Public Affairs, and Resecurity.
During the meeting, Timur Onzhanov presented the Holding's activities, its role in financing priority sectors of the Kazakh economy, and its main instruments for supporting investment projects. Particular attention was paid to the Holding's transformation into a national investment development institution, the expansion of its range of financial instruments, and the ability to support major investment initiatives.
"For Baiterek Holding, developing international cooperation is one of our key areas of activity. We are interested in attracting strategic partners with advanced technologies, industry expertise, and long-term investment plans. Today, Kazakhstan offers broad opportunities for implementing projects in industry, energy, digital infrastructure, and other priority economic sectors. For our part, the Holding is ready to offer comprehensive financial instruments and support projects at all stages of their implementation," noted Timur Onzhanov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in attracting investment, developing industry, the digital economy, financial technologies, supporting infrastructure projects, and supporting international investment initiatives.
Special attention was paid to opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas industry, the development of investment cooperation, the improvement of support mechanisms for international investors, and the exchange of experience in implementing projects that promote sustainable economic development.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing their partnership and implementing joint initiatives aimed at strengthening investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States of America.
