On March 5, the Managing Director of ‘Baiterek’ Holding, Niyaz Koshkimbayev, met with a Russian delegation led by Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kurochkin, at ‘Baiterek’ National Managing Holding JSC.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of participating in the support programs of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Holding’s experience in implementing mechanisms to stimulate demand for industrial products in Kazakhstan.
The meeting was also attended by Altay Kuzdibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC; Aidos Seitzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC; Zhanar Ibrasheva, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Industrial Development Fund JSC; and Asem Yedilova, Managing Director of Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC.
The Russian delegation included Anastasia Astakhova, Head of the Project Office for EAEU Countries at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Sergey Zvyagin, Executive Secretary of the Council for Industrial Development and Competitiveness of the Russian Economy; as well as Egor Shipitsyn and Artur Semibratov, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
The parties exchanged experiences in attracting financing and implementing modern mechanisms to support industrial cooperation. The Russian representatives highlighted the importance of instruments such as subsidizing loan interest rates for joint projects within the EAEU.

“The development of industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia remains a key area of bilateral collaboration. The Holding actively supports entrepreneurs, and we are open to further experience exchange within EAEU programs,” said Niyaz Koshkimbayev, Managing Director of ‘Baiterek’ National Managing Holding JSC.
One of the key topics on the agenda was strengthening cooperation in the construction industry. Altay Kuzdibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC, stated:
“A significant share of materials used in the construction of housing and public sector facilities comes from Russia. We are interested in localizing these production facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
Another important aspect of the meeting was industrial cooperation. Zhanar Ibrasheva, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Industrial Development Fund JSC, emphasized:
“International cooperation is one of the key focus areas of the Industrial Development Fund’s policy. During this meeting, we discussed the possibility of financing projects in accordance with EEC regulations and the role of the IDF in developing Kazakhstan’s industrial sector.”
Additionally, the participants placed special emphasis on the development of the agro-industrial sector.
“Our company plays a significant role in fostering the growth of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex. To this end, we have developed and successfully implemented a range of attractive leasing programs tailored to the needs of agricultural producers. KazAgroFinance is committed to being a reliable partner for farmers, offering access to modern equipment and technologies on favorable terms. The company is also open to cooperation and knowledge exchange with Russian colleagues, seeing this as an opportunity for further advancement and development of the agro-industrial sector in both countries,” said Aidos Seitzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue on financing joint industrial and infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening industrial ties between Kazakhstan and Russia.
