Baiterek Holding and SuperX AI Technology discussed prospects for developing AI infrastructure in Kazakhstan

On July 7, 2026, a meeting took place at Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC with a delegation from the technology company SuperX AI Technology Limited, led by CEO Liang Qiangzhi. During the meeting, SuperX AI Technology representatives presented a project to establish an AI data center cluster in Kazakhstan. The project envisions a phased deployment of computing capacity from 2026 to 2029: the first stage involves building a 200 MW AI campus, followed by modular expansion. The initiative supports the national "Digital Kazakhstan 2029" strategy and aims to position the country as a regional computing hub.

In turn, Holding representatives introduced the guests to the ecosystem of the Baiterek group and its subsidiaries, which covers more than 60 financing programs, including investment project lending, guarantees, leasing, export insurance, and equity participation. The financing capabilities of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC for major infrastructure projects were presented separately, along with the Holding's experience raising capital in international and domestic markets.

The parties also discussed possible approaches to structuring project financing, including a combination of debt and equity capital. Following the talks, participants expressed interest in further developing the project and continuing the dialogue.
