- Who We Are
Chairman of Baiterek National Management Holding, Rustam Karagoishin, recently met with representatives of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Kazakhstan. The meeting aimed to introduce AFD’s new team and discuss plans for future development and joint projects.
Attending the meeting were Ms. Gulnoza Callens, Head of AFD Group’s Representative Office in Kazakhstan, along with AFD consultants Mr. Francois Salviat and Ms. Esther Le Guillou. Representing Baiterek Holding were Deputy Chairman of the Board Timur Onzhanov and Deputy Chairman of Agrarian Credit Corporation Kairat Sapulatov.
"Cooperation with AFD presents new opportunities for Baiterek Holding to implement critical socio-economic and environmental projects in Kazakhstan. We are confident that our partnership will promote sustainable development, particularly by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, women’s entrepreneurship, and infrastructure modernization," stated Rustam Karagoishin.
The French Development Agency is a government entity that finances projects to improve living standards, stimulate economic growth, and protect the environment. Operating in more than 150 countries, including Kazakhstan, AFD supports initiatives aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
This cooperation will also extend to projects involving Agrarian Credit Corporation and Development Bank of Kazakhstan, with a focus on providing loans for women entrepreneurs and financing key infrastructure projects.
AFD opened its office in Kazakhstan this year following a bilateral agreement signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the country. This partnership is expected to drive significant investments and contribute to the sustainable development of key economic sectors.
