Baiterek Holding and French Development Agency discuss financial instruments and cooperation prospects

     To further bolster bilateral ties and advance the collaborative efforts sparked by the visit of the French President to Kazakhstan, a meeting was convened on April 19, 2024. Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, Zhandos Shaikhy, engaged in discussions with Katerina Petsetidi, the head of the project group at the Financial Systems Department of the French Development Agency (AFD).

     The meeting focused on the exploration of the holding's financial instruments, such as loan issuance and acquisition, alongside avenues for synergy with its subsidiaries, notably the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund and the Agrarian Credit Corporation. Emphasis was placed on initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurial ventures and advancing sector-specific endeavors.

     Zhandos Shaikhy remarked, "We are gratified to enhance our collaboration with the French Development Agency, particularly in light of recent international accords that present fresh opportunities for both nations. This collaboration enables us to harness global expertise for the advancement of key sectors within Kazakhstan's economy and fortify our financial frameworks."

     The ongoing partnership between Baiterek Holding and the French Development Agency will span various domains, including the enhancement of entrepreneurial ecosystems, the cultivation of agricultural sectors, and the reinforcement of financial support mechanisms for small and medium-sized businesses, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
