"Baiterek" Holding and China Minmetals discussed the development of cooperation in industry and mining

On July 21, Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek National Investment Holding JSC, held a meeting with Xu Jiqing, Vice President of the Chinese State Corporation China Minmetals Corporation.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in industry, mining, processing of raw materials, as well as mechanisms for financing investment projects using the instruments of the Holding and its subsidiaries.

Representatives of the Holding presented approaches to support projects aimed at diversifying the economy, developing the processing industry and attracting foreign investment. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of financing projects at various stages of their implementation.

"It is important for us to create conditions for the development of processing plants and the launch of new industrial projects in Kazakhstan. The holding has a wide range of financial instruments that allow it to support investment projects at all stages of their implementation," Timur Onzhanov said.

In turn, representatives of China Minmetals expressed interest in cooperation with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan in financing promising projects in the mining and metallurgical industry and developing an investment partnership.

"We are interested in the joint implementation of projects combining industrial expertise, technology, construction, logistics and financial solutions. A reliable local partner is needed for the successful implementation of such initiatives, and we are open to developing cooperation in Kazakhstan," Xu Jiqing said.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation and developing promising projects in the mining and metallurgical complex.
