Baiterek Holding and ADM discussed the implementation of projects in the field of deep processing of agricultural products in Kazakhstan.

On June 26, in Astana, Rustam Karagoishin, Chairman of the Board of JSC National Investment Holding Baiterek, met with Ardie van Lankveld, Vice President of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), one of the world's largest agro-industrial corporations. During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for joint projects in the agro-industrial complex, the development of deep processing of agricultural products, and the use of the Holding's financial instruments for investment projects.

Opening the meeting, Rustam Karagoishin noted Kazakhstan's interest in expanding cooperation with American investors and emphasized that Baiterek Holding is ready to serve as a reliable partner for international companies implementing projects in priority sectors of the economy.

"The head of state has set the goal of increasing the share of processed products to 70%, which entails the creation of high-value-added production facilities. Baiterek Holding, as a key development institution for the country, is ready to offer comprehensive support through its subsidiary organizations: long-term lending through the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, export contract insurance through the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan, equity capital raising through Qazaqstan Investment Corporation, and preferential lending through the Agrarian Credit Corporation," noted Rustam Karagoishin.

Promising areas of cooperation included projects to produce corn starch jointly with Kazakhstani partners, as well as the production of food syrups for enterprises operating in the republic. The parties also discussed Kazakhstan's investment potential, the export potential of future production, and the country's logistical advantages as a regional hub for accessing markets in Central Asia and the Middle East.

"We highly value Kazakhstan's potential as a regional center for the development of agricultural production. "For ADM, it is important to build long-term partnerships, combining international expertise and local partners' capabilities to implement high-value-added projects," emphasized Ardie van Lankveld, Vice President of Archer Daniels Midland.

ADM is one of the four largest agro-industrial corporations. The company specializes in processing grain and oilseed crops, producing food ingredients, and developing global supply chains. Its annual revenue exceeds $85 billion. Headquartered in Chicago.

Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further cooperation and agreed to continue exploring possible formats for cooperation in implementing projects in Kazakhstan.
