On November 1, Rustam Karagoyshin, Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek National Managing Holding, and his Deputy, Zhandos Shaikhy, visited Turkistan Region.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with the regional Akim, review the implementation of investment projects, and visit enterprises in the region.
During the meeting with the Akim of the region, Nurlakhan Kusherov, current issues related to the implementation of projects financed through the Holding were discussed, as well as further measures aimed at developing entrepreneurship using the tools of the Holding and its subsidiaries.
“With the support of Baiterek Holding, important social tasks are being addressed in the region. Since the establishment of the region, 147 credit-based houses have been built, and 4,692 families have received housing. Through the Damu Fund, more than 4,5 thousand projects worth 261.7 billion tenge have been financed. Several large projects in the agricultural sector have been approved. I am confident that the issues raised today will be resolved, and work on the development of the region will continue,” the Akim said, expressing gratitude to the Holding’s management for the cooperation.
In turn, Rustam Karagoyshin emphasized that the Holding will continue to actively support the implementation of priority projects in Turkistan Region aimed at developing entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life of the population.
“Turkistan Region demonstrates stable growth dynamics. It is important for us that every invested tenge contributes to the development of the region, enhances its investment attractiveness, and improves the well-being of its residents. We are ready to further strengthen our cooperation with the Akimat and the business community to achieve these goals,” said the Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek National Managing Holding.
On the same day, the delegation of the Holding visited Kazakhstan Lihua LLP, which is implementing a large investment project in the region to establish a full production cycle in the light industry — from cotton cultivation to manufacturing of finished textile products.
Currently, the company’s cotton planting area covers 33,000 hectares, with a yield of 5,939 kg per hectare, ensuring a total harvest volume of about 196 million kg. Around 800 employees work at the enterprise.
In September of this year, the company commissioned a cotton-processing plant with an investment volume of 9 billion tenge, which made it possible to increase the level of raw material processing within the country and create additional jobs.
Kazakhstan Lihua LLP makes a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s textile industry, localization of production, and strengthening of the region’s export potential.
