Baiterek Holding discusses housing stock preservation and management

A meeting of the Public Council was held at Baiterek Holding to discuss the management and operation of multi-apartment residential buildings, preservation of the housing stock and development of professional property management.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Astana Akimat, Kazakhstan Housing Company (KHC), energy organisations, as well as the professional and expert community.

The main focus was on systemic problems arising during the transition of residential properties from construction to operation. Participants discussed the transfer of technical documentation, maintenance of engineering infrastructure, improvements in the energy efficiency of buildings and the introduction of digital management tools.

Existing government and financial mechanisms to support the housing sector were also discussed, along with opportunities to develop the professional competencies of specialists working for property management organisations.

Following the discussion, participants identified areas for further joint work, including improving mechanisms for managing multi-apartment buildings, enhancing the quality of their operation and ensuring the long-term preservation of the housing stock.
