The Head of State received Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of JSC "NUH "Baiterek"

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was familiarized with the results of the activities of the Baiterek holding for the first half of 2023, including the implementation of initiatives to support entrepreneurship, the agro-industrial complex and the provision of housing for the population.

According to the data presented to the President, the volume of financing of large businesses amounted to 114.4 billion tenge. The holding actively supports the development of small and medium-sized businesses, in particular, through the Damu Foundation, which has supported more than 15 thousand entrepreneurs.

The Head of State was informed that since the beginning of 2023, Otbasy Bank has helped provide housing for 29 thousand families. The Bank actively participates in the rental subsidy program, which is a form of gratuitous state support for citizens, including disabled people of groups I and II, families raising disabled children, orphans, and large families. In the first half of the year, more than 9 thousand applications were approved.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed that more than 271 billion tenge has been allocated through the Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC since the beginning of the year and about 9 thousand farmers have been supported. 3.5 million hectares of land have been sown this year, which is 15% of the total sown area of the country. In order to strengthen food security and reduce import dependence, over 131 billion tenge was allocated for crediting investment projects in agriculture. Over 70% of the volume of financing of the agricultural sector falls on JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" and JSC "KazAgroFinance".

In conclusion, the President gave a number of specific instructions aimed at improving the conditions for business development and improving social housing policy.
